In June 2012, Nokia (NYSE:NOK) will release a Windows-8 based tablet (NASDAQ:MSFT), according to Paul Amsellen, the company's general manager in France. He revealed the tidbit in an interview with Les Echoes. Nokia Siemens Networks To Cut 17K Jobs By Year-End 2013
Nokia Siemens Networks, a joint venture between Nokia Corp. (NOK) and Siemens AG (SI), Wednesday reported launching a global restructuring programs which aims to trim adjusted annualized operating expenses and production overheads by 1 billion euros, and may see a loss of approximately 17 thousand jobs, by year-end 2013. As of November 1, 2011, the company's global workforce headcount was approximately 74,000.
Shares of Nokia traded down 7.64% during mid-day trading on Tuesday, hitting $5.56. Nokia has a 52 week low of $4.82 and a 52 week high of $11.75.
