Turkish Equity Preview Ford Otosan, Otokar, Sabanci Holding

Turkish Equity Preview Ford Otosan, Otokar, Sabanci Holding ; The following stocks may be active in Turkey. Symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close. Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 index rose 851.91, or 1.3 percent, to 67,712.10 yesterday.

Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (FROTO TI): The Turkish unit of Ford Motor Co. had its price estimate increased to 14 liras from 12.4 liras at Nomura Holdings Inc., according to an e-mailed report today. Ford Otosan, as the company is also known, dropped 20 kurus, or 1.5 percent, to 13.20 liras.

Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (SAHOL TI): Turkey’s second- biggest group of companies is among 39 bidders in auctions today for power grids on the Asian side of Istanbul, a region around the Mediterranean resort of Antalya and the city of Adana in southern Turkey. Ayen Enerji AS (AYEN TI) also placed an initial bid. Sabanci climbed 4 kurus, or 0.5 percent, to 7.62 liras.

Otokar Otomotiv & Savunma Sanayi AS (OTKAR TI): the maker of buses, jeeps and military vehicles got an order of $10.6 million to export armored vehicles, spare parts and to provide training, it said in a filing with the Istanbul Stock Exchange today. Otokar fell 10 kurus, or 0.5 percent, to 21.20 liras.

Turk Hava Yollari AO (THYAO TI): the government’s asset sales agency will accept applications for advising on the sale of the national carrier known as Turkish Airlines, until Jan. 7, CNBC-e television reported.
