CNBC iPad app stock-tracker launches

Business News CNBC iPad app stock-tracker launches Business and financial channel CNBC has announced the launch of a new iPad app offering breaking news alerts, stock market updates and video on-demand content.
Available now from Apple's App Store in the US and UK, the free CNBC Real-Time app delivers live stock quotes from the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ Marketplace, during and after market hours. Users can also access breaking news alerts and video clips from the CNBC VOD service. The iPad app follows the launch of CNBC's iPhone application in 2009

"The CNBC Real-Time iPad App brings the power of CNBC to the iPad in an engaging, highly-interactive and visually rich experience," said CNBC Digital vice-president Scott Drake.

"We are proud to announce this latest addition to our extensive suite of digital financial products which ensure the real-time data, news and analysis investors care about are available to them across multiple platforms when and where they need it."

In August, CNBC hired former Guardian News & Media executive Torsten De Riese as its first digital director, responsible for all syndication deals on online and mobile platforms.
