Apple planned to begin selling the white iPhone along with the black model last year but its release was repeatedly delayed by manufacturing challenges in a rare setback for the California gadget-maker.
Apple said the 16GB and 32GB versions of the white model would be sold for $859 and $999, respectively.
“The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it's beautiful,” said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing.
“We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we've worked to get every detail right.”
Vodafone has already announced the availability of the white iPhone 4 in its stores, along with prices for plans.
Apple sold 18.65 million iPhones last quarter, an increase of 113 per cent over a year ago.
