Dow Jones stock Risers and Fallers feb 22 2012 : US stocks opened slightly lower on Wednesday as risk sentiment remained undermined after weak economic data from the euro zone and amid lingering concerns about Greece.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 16 points, or 0.13%, to 12,948. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index dropped 2 points, or 0.18%, to 1,359. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 7 points, or 0.27%, to 2,940.

The Dow is backing away from 13,000 after peeking briefly above in intraday action Tuesday. The Dow hasn't closed above 13,000 since May 2008.
