Dinar hits new record high in 2011 - National Bank of Serbia released : The dinar has thus reached a new record high in 2011 with the official middle exchange rate at RSD 101.0543, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) released.

The Serbian currency previously reached its highest level against the euro on April 12, when the official middle exchange rate was RSD 101.0883, and its lowest on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947.

Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once by purchasing EUR 5mn in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.
