Hedge funds and money managers increased their bullish bets on coffee futures by 15 percent to 36,353 New York contracts during the week ending Feb. 1, Commodity Futures Trading Commission data show. It was the largest gain since Oct. 19.
Cocoa futures for May delivery fell $25, or 0.8 percent, to $3,239 a ton on ICE. In London, cocoa futures for March delivery slid 30 pounds, or 1.4 percent, to 2,109 pounds ($3,397) a ton.

Coffee moved further away from its recent 13-1/2 year high with Thursday's momentary plunge in sugar futures spooking prices lower, traders said.
