European stock markets opened october 26 2011 : European stock markets opened flat while awaiting signals from the EU summit opening in Brussels tonight. The summit is expected to issue decisive solutions for the European debt crisis. The trading day was also weak in Asia, in the wake of the negative closing of the NYSE.

In Frankfurt, the Dax earns 0.02% to 6,048.06 points, the Paris Cac 40 index loses 0.2% to 3,167.87 points, London's Ftse 100 earns 0.6% up to 5,528.66 points, Madrid's Ibex index drops by 0.05% to 8,873.3 points.
