Best Performing Stocks on the S&P 500 10/3/11 : Stocks added to their losses in a choppy session on the first trading day of the quarter Monday, led by financials, as investors remained concerned over Greece's financial woes.

The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq were also lower. The CBOE Volatility Index, widely considered the best gauge of fear in the market, traded near 42. All S&P sectors were lower, led by financials and energy.

Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO): Yahoo has formed an alliance with ABC News (NYSE:DIS), who will become the “premier news provider” for Yahoo. ABC will also develop an original web series for Yahoo. More people get their news from Yahoo than CNN (NYSE:TWX). The stock is up 4.63%.

CF Industries Holdings (NYSE:CF): CF’s gains today dwarf its huge declines last week. This stock is particularly susceptible to commodity declines and ever-lower expectations about the global economy. The stock is up 4.13%
