Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has plans to overhaul Hotmail. Hotmail, the webmail service from Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), will undergo a major revamping next month, according to an official statement from the company.
The report says that features to prevent spam, to improve security and performance will be added or improved.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) said in an invitation said to the journalists that, “We listened. We learned. We reinvented Hotmail from the ground up. Forget everything you thought you knew about Hotmail. Just don’t forget this date.”

Analysts have reported that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Google could spark smart phone fragmentation.
The recent patent battles between the giants has caused a number of issues to hardware manufacturers who build the devices for them, and if competition and troubles continue then it could push make them turn to alternate solutions like WebOs, which may lead to further fragmentation in the industry, analysts said.
Many companies are worried about their sales, as patent disputes could put their sales on hold in many countries.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has reportedly handed over 5,000 Samsung tablets to developers. In an attempt to ‘kill’ its tablet rivals, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has given around 5,000 tablets that are running on the upcoming version of Windows, to developers.
Reports say that the devices are powered by Intel i5 processors and have some exclusive features designed for tablets and touch screen devices.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) hope that the distribution of these tablets will increase interest in their product.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has reached ad deals with AOL and Yahoo.
It seems that Google’s rivals have joined forces in an effort to solidify their position against the search giant.
Now Microsoft has has joined hands with two other giants, Yahoo and AOL, and the move is reported to be an attempt to survive in the search battle, and their ultimate aim may be to put an end to the supremacy of Google in the online advertising market.
It is also expected that the new venture will make some impact on ad pricing as well, as rates are currently dictated almost exclusively by Google.

The Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) CEO has shown optimism over Windows Phone sales. Steve Ballmer, the chief executive officer of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), said that he is confident about Windows Phone even though the sales are not yet making big waves in the market.
While attending a financial analyst meeting, he said that “It was under a year ago that we launched the first Windows Phone. We haven’t sold quite as many probably as I would have hoped we would have sold in the first year”. source stocksandshares.tvy
