Nokia Smartphone E7 Offers Now Arriving Early 2011

Nokia Smartphone E7 Offers Now Arriving Early 2011 ; This Symbian^3 smartphone may well have been on your Christmas wish list as it was expected to launch during this month. Sadly, though, Nokia has confirmed this is not to be and Nokia E7 offers will arrive in early 2011 instead.

The QWERTY-touchscreen combination handset follows in the footsteps of the recently-launched N8 and shares a high-end, contemporary design. This Nokia has a full QWERTY keyboard and a tilting screen that features AMOLED and ClearBlack technology for a bright display even outdoors.

Commenting on the E7 delay, Nokia spokesman Ray Haddow said: “We are taking corrective actions to the hardware durability issue we discovered. We are committed to provide the best possible user experience on the Nokia E7 and now expect to begin shipping the Nokia E7 shipments in early 2011.”

So let’s hope by “early” Nokia means January. As soon as we hear any more on the E7’s launch, we’ll let you know. After all, with features that include an 8-megapixel camera with HD video and Dolby Digital Plus technology, this mobile phone looks set to be popular.

However, this delay has been described by Reuters as “another blow to the cellphone maker’s plans to regain ground lost to Apple and Google in the smartphone market.” Of course, the N8 was delayed this year and then encountered power problems post-release. Let’s hope the E7 doesn’t follow suit.

In other Nokia news, we wonder whether the rumoured X7 device will materialise in 2011. This gaming mobile is thought to have a 4 inch AMOLED display and four speakers – it would, after all, be joining the X-series of Nokia handsets which are known for their music ability such as the X6 phone.
