Earnings Reports to watch Week march 26-30 2012 : Next week is a busy earnings season, and there are many quarterly earnings releases scheduled. There are so many stocks to watch. However, my focus is on 11 of them, and these 11 stocks are selected based on popularity, volume and more importantly, significant price change expected based on the earning results and forecast.

This article provides earnings preview and consideration for the next week. Use this list as a potential starting point for your analysis.

Apollo Group Inc (APOL):
Apollo Group, Inc. (Apollo Group) is a private education provider. The company offers educational programs and services both online and on-campus at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels through its wholly owned subsidiaries, The University of Phoenix, Inc. (University of Phoenix); Institute for Professional Development (IPD); The College for Financial Planning Institutes Corporation (CFFP), and Meritus University, Inc. (Meritus).

Apollo Group has a market cap of $5.38 billion and will report its second quarter earnings results on March 26, 2012, after market close. The second quarter revenues are expected to be $932.82 million when compared to $1.05 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the second quarter are expected to be 38 cents a share from 83 cents a share in the year ago period. Apollo Group is currently trading around $42.59 with a 52 week range of $37.08 to $58.29.

Walgreen Company (WAG):
Walgreen Co. (Walgreen) together with its subsidiaries, operates a drugstore chain in the United States. The company provides its customers with multichannel access to consumer goods and services, and pharmacy, health and wellness services in communities across America. Walgreen offers its products and services through drugstores, as well as through mail, by telephone, and via the Internet.

Walgreen has a market cap of $29.88 billion and will report its second quarter earnings results on March 27, 2012, before market open. The second quarter revenues are expected to be $18.53 billion when compared to $18.50 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the second quarter are expected to be 77 cents a share from 80 cents a share in the year ago period. Walgreen is currently trading around $34.21 with a 52 week range of $30.34 to $45.34.

Commercial Metals Company (CMC): Commercial Metals Company recycles, manufactures, fabricates and distributes steel and metal products and related materials and services through a network of locations throughout the United States and internationally. The company operates in five segments: Americas Recycling, Americas Mills Americas Fabrication, International Mills and International Marketing and Distribution.

Commercial Metals Company has a market cap of $1.63 billion and will report its second quarter earnings results on March 28, 2012, before market open. The second quarter revenues are expected to be $1.98 billion when compared to $1.79 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the second quarter are expected to be 9 cents a share from loss of 40 cents a share in the year ago period. Commercial Metals Company is currently trading around $14.08 with a 52 week range of $8.64 to $17.84.

Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (FDO): Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (Family Dollar) operates a chain of more than 7,000 general merchandise retail discount stores in 44 states, providing primarily consumers with a selection of merchandise in neighborhood stores. The company merchandise assortment includes Consumables, Home Products, Apparel and Accessories, and Seasonal and Electronics.

Family Dollar has a market cap of $6.67 billion and will report its second quarter earnings results on March 28, 2012, before market open. The second quarter revenues are expected to be $2.46 billion when compared to $2.26 billion for the same quarter last year. Red Hat, Inc. (RHT):
Red Hat, Inc. (Red Hat) is engaged in providing open source software solutions to the enterprise, including its Red Hat Enterprise Linux and JBoss Enterprise Middleware. Red Hat operates primarily on the basis of three geographic business units: the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific. Red Hat's software solutions consist of Red Hat enterprise technologies, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, JBoss Enterprise Middleware and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.

Red Hat has a market cap of $9.78 billion and will report its fourth quarter earnings results on March 28, 2012, after market close. The fourth quarter revenues are expected to be $291.22 million when compared to $244.80 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the fourth quarter are expected to be 27 cents a share from 26 cents a share in the year ago period. Red Hat is currently trading around $50.64 with a 52 week range of $31.77 to $53.42.

Texas Industries, Inc. (TXI):
Texas Industries, Inc., is a supplier of heavy construction materials in the southwestern United States. The company operates in three segments: cement, aggregates and consumer products. Its cement segment produces gray portland cement and specialty cements.

Texas Industries has a market cap of $1.05 billion and will report its third quarter earnings results on March 29, 2012, before market open. The third quarter revenues are expected to be $132.72 million when compared to $125.82 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the third quarter are expected to be loss of 82 cents a share from loss of 75 cents a share in the year ago period. Texas Industries is currently trading around $37.65 with a 52 week range of $21.89 to $46.45.

Best Buy Co., Inc. (BBY): Best Buy Co., Inc. is a multinational retailer of consumer electronics, home office products, entertainment products, appliances and related services. The company operates retail stores and call centers, and conducts online retail operations under a variety of brand names.

Best Buy has a market cap of $9.21 billion and will report its fourth quarter earnings results on March 29, 2012, before market open. The fourth quarter revenues are expected to be $17.20 billion when compared to $16.26 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the fourth quarter are expected to be $2.16 a share from $1.98 a share in the year ago period. Best Buy is currently trading around $26.29 with a 52 week range of $21.79 to $32.98.

Tibco Software Inc. (TIBX): TIBCO Software Inc. (TIBCO) is a provider of middleware and infrastructure software. The company's software platform enables customers to create applications from infrastructure and deliver real-time and actionable insights. The Company provides these capabilities across a range of environments, including physical and virtualized hardware, standards-based and computing grids and public or private clouds.

Tibco has a market cap of $5.06 billion and will report its first quarter earnings results on March 29, 2012, after market close. The first quarter revenues are expected to be $222.36 million when compared to $185.34 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the first quarter are expected to be 19 cents a share from 16 cents a share in the year ago period. Tibco is currently trading around $30.39 with a 52 week range of $18.43 to $31.45.

Research In Motion Limited (RIMM): Research In Motion Limited (RIM) is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market. RIM provides platforms and solutions for access to information, including e-mail, voice, instant messaging, short message service (SMS), Internet and intranet-based applications and browsing. RIM's portfolio includes the BlackBerry wireless solution, the RIM Wireless Handheld product line, software development tools and other software and hardware.

Research In Motion Limited has a market cap of $7.39 billion and will report its fourth quarter earnings results on March 29, 2012, after market close. The fourth quarter revenues are expected to be $4.55 billion when compared to $5.56 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the fourth quarter are expected to be 82 cents a share from $1.78 a share in the year ago period. Research In Motion Limited is currently trading around $14.11 with a 52 week range of $12.45 to $64.63.

Saba Software, Inc. (SABA): Saba Software, Inc. is a provider of learning and talent management solutions providing a set of People Cloud Applications that include enterprise learning, talent management, testing and assessment and collaboration solutions delivered through the Saba People Cloud.

Saba Software, Inc. has a market cap of $357.13 million and will report its third quarter earnings results on March 29, 2012, after market close. The third quarter revenues are expected to be $33.27 million when compared to $30.34 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the third quarter are expected to be loss of 4 cents a share from 5 cents a share in the year ago period. Saba Software, Inc. is currently trading around $11.99 with a 52 week range of $5.07 to $12.36.

The Finish Line, Inc (FINL): The Finish Line, Inc. (Finish Line) is a mall-based specialty retailer in the United States. Finish Line is a retailer of athletic shoes, apparel and accessories. As of April 15, 2011, the company operated 660 Finish Line stores averaging approximately 5,400 square feet in 47 states. The Company's stores are primarily located in enclosed shopping malls.

Finish Line has a market cap of $1.25 billion and will report its third quarter earnings results on March 30, 2012, before market open. The third quarter revenues are expected to be $429.40 million when compared to $384.60 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the third quarter are expected to be 80 cents a share from 65 cents a share in the year ago period. Finish Line is currently trading around $23.99 with a 52 week range of $16.42 to $24.48.
