Euro zone finance ministers will meet in Brussels march 1 2012 ; Euro-zone finance ministers will meet in Brussels on March 1 before the start of a summit of European Union leaders, Austrian Finance Ministry Spokesman Harald Waiglein confirmed Thursday.

The Eurogroup meeting comes after euro-zone finance ministers on Monday signed off on a new bailout package worth up to EUR130 billion for Greece. Ministers have made the new assistance conditional on Athens completing its debt restructuring with private creditors and implementing a number of policy pledges

In addition to the Eurogroup and the European Council summit, a number of European government heads will also attend a March 1 gathering in Brussels of the European People's Party--the European grouping of center-right political parties.
