Roundy's has 158 stores in the Midwest, including four Copps stores in Appleton, Grand Chute and Neenah and three Pick n' Save stores in Buchanan, Kimberly and Neenah.
Terms of the sale, including the number of shares and price range, have not yet been determined. A portion of the shares will be issued and sold by the company, and a portion will be sold by some of its stockholders.
The Milwaukee-based Roundy's has been owned since 2002 by Willis Stein & Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago. Willis Stein tried unsuccessfully to sell the company in 2007.
