AT&T stock prices outlook dec 20 2011 ; AT&T (T 0.00%) said Monday it was dropping its $39 billion bid to acquire T-Mobile USA. The transaction was sidelined by the antitrust concerns of U.S. regulators, who argued the combination would lead to less choice and higher prices for consumers. AT&T said it expects a pretax charge of $4 billion in its fiscal fourth quarter for a break-up fee it wil pay Deutsche Telekom (DT 0.00%), the parent company of T-Mobile. AT&T shares were down 1% to $28.45 in premarket trading Tuesday.

Shares of AT&T opened at 28.74 on Tuesday. AT&T has a 52 week low of $27.20 and a 52 week high of $31.94. The stock’s 50-day moving average is $28.84 and its 200-day moving average is $29.2.
