gasoline prices per gallon in Atlanta now Remain High - Gas prices in Atlanta Predictions : Gas prices were predicted to go down by as much as 50 cents, but consumers are still seeing the prices continue to slowly creep their way up.

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now about $3.98 per gallon which is about a $1.08 more than just a year ago, according to AAA. The Atlanta and Athens areas have been following the national average, but the average for the rest of Georgia is actually 10 cents cheaper.

Residents around Metro Atlanta are trying to find new ways to cope with the current rate. One man told FOX 5 he sold his car and bought a bike to beat the price of gas. (source http://www.myfoxatlanta.com )
