Residential property prices in the UK 2011

Residential property prices in the UK 2011 : Residential property prices in the UK have fallen five times in seven months as the latest figures from the Nationwide show they decreased by 0.1% in January. Lending to buyers is also down; to the lowest levels since Bank of England records began.

The outlook for 2011
is gloomy with the sales market expected to stagnate and lending predicted to stay low.

UK property prices ended 2010 up 3.8% year on year but set to stall in 2011

Residential property prices in the UK increased by 0.5% in December from the previous month taking the average price to £208,148, according to the latest figures from the UK government. It means prices saw an annual jump of 3.8% but average house prices were 0.4% lower over the quarter to December, compared to a quarterly increase of 0.2% in the third quarter of 2010. Read More...
