Currently BeyondPV mainly manufactures 1.1m x 1.4m solar modules, and its annual capacity is at about 8MWp. The company plans to raise NT$700-800 million (US$23.25-26.57 million) in the first quarter of 2011 for capacity expansion, which will include adding two more plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) machines
BeyondPV pointed out that its tandem-junction thin-film modules and building-integrated PV (BIPV) modules have helped the company differentiate from mainstream crystalline silicon solutions, and thus orders for 2011 are not an issue.
BeyondPV will post NT$110 million in revenues in 2010 and produced about 3MWp worth of solar modules, according to market watchers, adding that 2011 revenues will increase 250-300%.
BeyondPV procures more than half of its manufacturing materials from Taiwan-based suppliers, which are 70% less costly compared with overseas sources and has helped it better manage cost, the company said.
See-through modules now also account for about 4% of production and will climb to 30% in 2013, the company added. For the latest updates PRESS CTR + D or visit Stock Market news Today
